ABOUT THIS PROJECT //

The landscape design for this strata enhances privacy, safety, usability, and accessibility, while adding aesthetic value to the property.

The initial proposal included three design alternatives developed through a stakeholder engagement process. The chosen alternative features flowing lines to suggest a Westcoast stream. Plant selection was drawn from the native and riparian palette to attract birds and pollinators. Taller evergreen planting provides privacy for the street-facing patios, while more vibrant plants enhance the main frontage.

The design creates a more welcoming entrance. Existing hardscape has been replaced and upgraded to complement the architectural character of the building. The central planting bed at the main access has been modified to become a notable point of interest, and a built-in bench offers a resting option.

The sides of the building feature accessibility improvements such as regrading, upgraded walkways, and lit staircases.
